Terms of use
By using this website or buying from my shop, you agree to these terms. They work alongside my privacy policy, workshop booking policy, and delivery and returns policy.
Who I am
This website is run by Sheena Bond, a sole trader trading as Sheena Bond Ceramics, based in Eastleigh, Hampshire. You can contact me at sheena@sheenabond.co.uk.
Using this website
I do my best to keep the information here accurate and up to date, but I can't guarantee it's always complete or error-free. I may change or remove content at any time.
Please don't use the site in any way that's unlawful, or that could damage it or interfere with other people using it.
My work and images
All photographs, designs, text and artwork on this site belong to me unless stated otherwise. You're welcome to share links to my site, but please don't copy, reproduce or sell my images or designs without my written permission.
Handmade pieces
Every piece is made by hand, so size, colour and glaze will vary slightly from the photos. Screens also show colours differently. These small differences are part of the character of handmade work and aren't counted as faults.
Orders and prices
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. I'm not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged.
Postage is added at checkout.
Your order confirmation email is your receipt. Our contract begins when I confirm your order.
If I've made an obvious pricing mistake, or a piece is no longer available, I'll let you know and give you a full refund.
Payments
Payments are taken securely through Squarespace Payments. I never see or store your full card details.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer. I'm not responsible for losses that weren't reasonably foreseeable, or for any business losses if you buy for business use.
Changes and law
I may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Workshop and session bookings
This covers everything you book through my online shop: my workshops at Jo Morley Studio in Southampton, and throwing sessions at my home studio.
Booking
Your place is confirmed once you've paid in full through my online shop. I'll email you to arrange a date and send directions.
Sessions are for adults aged 18 and over. No experience is needed.
If you need to cancel or move your session

Less than 14 days

To cancel or rearrange, email me at sheena@sheenabond.co.uk. If you're unwell on the day, please let me know as soon as you can and I'll do my best to find another date.
Because sessions are booked for a specific date, the 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases doesn't apply.
If I need to cancel
Occasionally I may have to cancel, for example through illness or a kiln problem. If that happens, I'll offer you a new date or a full refund, whichever you prefer.
Your pieces
After your session I'll trim, fire and glaze your pieces. They're usually ready to collect in 4 to 6 weeks, and I'll let you know when.
Please collect within 3 months of me letting you know. After that I may not be able to keep them.
Clay can crack or warp in the kiln. I take great care, but I can't guarantee every piece will survive firing.
Finished pieces from workshops and sessions are collection only.
Gift bookings
If you're booking for someone else, please share this policy and the studio access information with them.
Visiting my studio
My studio is in the garden of my home in Old Bishopstoke, near Eastleigh. It's a small, working space, so please read this before you book.
Getting to the studio
There are two ways in: three steps up to the front door, or a continuous slope down the drive and through a narrow side gateway. From there, a path leads through the garden to the studio, which can be uneven and slippery when wet.
Unfortunately the studio isn't wheelchair accessible.
If you have mobility needs or any other access concerns, please email me before booking and I'll be honest about whether the space will work for you.
Parking is on the street, or opposite in Jockey Lane.
There's a toilet in the house you're welcome to use.
What to wear
Clay gets everywhere. Wear old clothes you don't mind getting messy, and closed-toe shoes with a good grip for the garden path. Short nails make throwing easier, and it helps to tie back long hair. I'll provide an apron.
Staying safe in the studio
I'll give you a short safety briefing at the start of your session.
The kiln gets extremely hot. Please don't touch it or go near it unless I'm with you.
I keep the studio clean with wet methods to keep clay dust down. Please don't sweep or brush dry clay.
Wash your hands before eating or drinking, and don't eat in the studio.
If you have a health condition, allergy or pregnancy you think could be affected, please let me know beforehand, in confidence.
Pets
I have a friendly dog at home, and sometimes two. If you have an allergy or would rather they're kept away, just let me know before your visit.
By booking, you agree to follow my safety guidance during your session. Nothing here limits my responsibility for your safety while you're at my studio.
Delivery, collection and returns
Postage
I post UK-wide with Royal Mail Tracked 48, and I'll email you once your order is on its way.
Orders are usually dispatched within 3 to 5 working days. Personalised plant labels take longer, around 2 to 3 weeks, as they're made to order.
Every piece is wrapped carefully with plenty of padding, using recycled packaging where I can.
Collection
You can choose free collection from my studio in Eastleigh at checkout. I'll email you when your order is ready to arrange a time, and send the address then. Please collect within 4 weeks.
If your order arrives damaged
Ceramics are fragile, and occasionally something breaks in the post. If that happens:
Email me within 48 hours of delivery at sheena@sheenabond.co.uk.
Include photos of the damaged piece and the packaging.
Please keep the packaging, as Royal Mail may need to see it.
I'll send a replacement if I can, or give you a full refund including postage.
Changing your mind
If you bought online, you have 14 days from the day your order arrives (or you collect it) to tell me you'd like to return it. You then have a further 14 days to send it back.
Pieces must be unused and returned in their original condition, well wrapped.
Return postage is your responsibility. I recommend a tracked service, as the piece is your responsibility until it reaches me.
I'll refund the price of the item and the standard postage you paid, within 14 days of receiving it back.
This doesn't apply to personalised items, such as plant labels with custom text, unless they arrive faulty or damaged.
Buying in person
If you buy directly from me at my studio, at Open Studios or at a fair, there's no automatic right to return a piece because you've changed your mind. I'm happy to offer an exchange if you get in touch within 14 days.
Faulty items
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 aren't affected. If a piece is faulty, please get in touch and I'll put it right. Natural variations in glaze, colour and shape are part of handmade work and aren't faults.
