Privacy Policy: Sheena Bond Ceramics
About this policy
This policy explains what personal information I collect when you buy my ceramics, book a workshop or get in touch, and how I look after it. I keep it to what I genuinely need, and I never sell your information.
I'm Sheena Bond, a ceramic artist working from my home studio in Eastleigh, Hampshire, trading as Sheena Bond Ceramics. I'm responsible for your personal information (the "data controller" under UK data protection law).

What information I collect
Depending on how you deal with me, I may collect:
Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and postal address.
Order details: what you bought, when, how much you paid, and whether you chose postage or collection.
Booking details: which workshop or session you booked, the date, and anything you tell me so I can make the session work for you, such as accessibility needs or experience level.
Messages: anything you send me by email, through my website contact form or on social media.
Website information: basic technical details such as your browser, device and pages visited, collected through cookies (see below).
I don't see or store your full card details. Payments are handled securely by the payment provider.
How I use it, and why I'm allowed to

If you share health or accessibility information so I can adapt a session, I only use it for that purpose and only with your agreement.
Orders, payments, postage and collection
My online shop runs on Squarespace. When you place an order, Squarespace collects your name, email, billing and delivery details on my behalf.
Payments are processed by Squarespace Payments, who handle your card details directly. I only see the order total, the last four digits of your card and whether the payment went through.
Postage: if you choose delivery, I share your name, address and sometimes your phone number or email with Royal Mail so they can deliver your parcel and send tracking updates.
Collection: if you collect in person from my home studio, I'll use your contact details to arrange a time. My home address is only shared with you once your collection is confirmed, and I ask that you keep it private.
Workshops and throwing sessions
When you book a one-to-one or couples' session at my studio, I collect your name, contact details and payment through my online shop. I'll use these to confirm your booking, send reminders, and let you know if anything changes.
If you book on behalf of someone else, such as a gift for a friend or partner, please make sure they're happy for you to share their details with me.
My sessions are for adults aged 18 and over, and I don't knowingly collect information about children.
Workshops at Jo Morley Studio are booked through my website.
Photos: I sometimes take photos during sessions to share on my website or social media. I'll always ask first, and you're welcome to say no or ask me to remove a photo later.
Email and newsletter
My business email runs on Google Workspace, so emails you send me are stored securely on Google's servers.
If you sign up to my newsletter, I'll send you occasional news about new work, workshops and open studio events through Mailchimp. I'll only add you if you've opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also just reply and ask me to take you off.
Buying something or booking a session doesn't sign you up to the newsletter automatically.
Website and cookies
My website is hosted by Squarespace. Cookies are small files that help the site work, remember your basket and show me how people use the site.
Essential cookies keep the site and checkout working. These can't be switched off.
Analytics cookies tell me which pages are popular, using Squarespace Analytics and Google Analytics. These only run if you accept them in the cookie banner.
You can change your cookie choices at any time through the cookie banner link at the bottom of the site, or in your browser settings. Squarespace's own cookie policy has the full list.
